Olio Learns is structured across three developmental levels: Explorers, Communicators, and Storytellers.

These levels reflect how children naturally build language — from single words, to connected sentences, to confident storytelling. Placement ensures that every learner is both supported and challenged in equal measure.

For children beginning to use Spanish more confidently, building simple sentences and everyday vocabulary through playful, story-led interaction.

To join Explorers, children should:

• Understand basic Spanish at home

• Use short phrases or single words

• May respond in English often

• Limited confidence speaking

In Explorers, they begin to:

• Build simple, complete sentences

• Use everyday vocabulary with greater confidence

• Respond in Spanish more consistently

• Participate in supported conversations through guided storytelling

For children ready to expand their speaking, linking ideas together and expressing themselves with growing independence.

For confident speakers ready to express ideas, emotions, and experiences in fuller, more connected language.

Olio Learns Spanish is launching soon.

Our first intake will open with the Explorers level, designed especially for Colombian families raising children with Spanish as a heritage language.

Families who join the waitlist will receive 20% off the full 8-week term as part of our Founding Families launch.
